Look what I Got Link Up: Thrifted Rain Boots

As I fell asleep, I blissfully thought of my clothes. Particularly how cute my gap skirt would look with my new rain boots and knee socks. So I mentally went through my closet, picking a top for this outfit. In my half awake state I settled on my pink v neck with a mental note to try the whole thing on in the morning. I endedswapped out the shirt for a sweater

My new thrifted rain boots were $8.00 from the president's day sale at Goodwill. The skirt and sweater were also thrifted. The gap skirt cost $5.00 and the sweater was $0.99!

It Was Acceptable In The 80's

There is something about wearing a sweatshirt over a button up that feels very 1980's to me. But I get all my fashion cues from classic 80's films and Cyndi Lauper music videos so maybe it's nothing like what real girls wore in 1987.

I'm writing this post while watching Pretty in Pink. Though this isn't my favorite "Brat Pack" film. I do love Molly Ringwald's character Andie. I mean is there anyone cooler than a high school student that makes her own clothes, shops 2nd hand and works in a record store! Well, maybe Ferris.

Yup, all my idols are from 1980's films. I mean I would have killed to have been a member of the goonies or had detention with the breakfast club, that's normal, right?

Seattle Girl vs The Rain

It's raining so please excuse my hair. Between wearing a hood-less coat and it being that misty, spitting type of rain, my hair just wasn't going to stay straight.

I spent the day shopping with a friend and she was kind enough to take photos for me. We went to a Volunteer Park in Seattle which is not only home to a normal park but also has a museum, a conservatory, a reservoir, and a water tower. Amanda and I took our banner photo at this park, too! On a "nice" day, you can usually see the Space Needle in the background. You'll just have to imagine it's on my left for now.

While taking these photos, my friend mentioned Zoolander. Everyone knows you can't say Zoolander and not make the face.

Have a great weekend!
